We have a team of coaches and experts to help and guide fencers at all levels.  Alongside this, the club is proud of its competetive but friendly nature - with seasoned fencers of all ages ready and willing to help - and FIGHT!

John Rees

Head Coach

John is an experienced professional epee coach.  John has worked with British Fencing, England Fencing and Wales Fencing as a coach and a board member.  As well as being a seasoned fencer himself, John has coached many successful Junior, Cadet and Senior fencers.

Matt primarily coaches our younger and less experienced fencers.  However, alongside his coaching and refereeing work, Matt also is the Chair/CEO for Welsh fencing and a Team Manager for British Fencing,

Malcolm Fare - our Chairman, is the curator of The National Fencing Museum based in Hanley Swan, near Malvern.  The Museum was founded in 2002 and is now the largest museum of fencing history in the world, with around 2000 prints, posters, postcards & photographs, 900 books, 860 weapons, masks & kit, 400 medals & trophies, 300 stamps, 800 cuttings, 70 catalogues and 60 miscellaneous objects from 19th century steel cutters for stamping out red leather hearts for the plastrons of fencing masters to a carved wooden bust of Gillian Sheen, Britain's only Olympic gold medallist.
